NORD Napędy Zakłady Produkcyjne in Nowa Sól are among the most modern factories of the NORD DRIVESYSTEMS Group. The manufacturing plant in Nowa Sól manufactures shafts and gears and provides assembly and service for complete drive systems.
Construction work was undertaken in 2005, and the commencement of production took place on 01.10.2006. The company was officially opened on September 28, 2007. The initial phase employed 20 workers, while the factory now employs more than 400 workers.
Services offered at NORD’s manufacturing facility include:
- Machining (soft and hard) gears, gear shafts, worm wheels, shafts and rotors for electric motors manufactured on CNC machine tools integrated by robotic transport stations, i.e., connected by a robot.
- Assembly of helical, bevel, worm gears. Assembly of inverters on one-piece flow assembly lines with balanced assembly stations.
- Painting of finished gearmotors, motors, bodies. After the painting process, selected gearmotors go to the frequency converter department, where an inverter is mounted.
- Logistics processes using systems such as pick by voice, pick by scan and warehouse automation.
- Warehousing: high-bay warehouse VNA, automatic storage machines with paternoster racks, sliding racks, markets, shipping hall. Warehouse management is managed through SAP EWM systems.
